On the 13th of April 1867 the Keighley and Worth Valley Railway was opened connecting Haworth to Keighley covering the moors and dales - travel the landscape which inspired the classic works of the Bronte Sisters Charlotte, Emily and Anne.
The railway is the only complete preserved standard gauge line anywhere in the world with Damems is also the smallest full sized station in Britain. Oakworth station is the location for the filming of the 1970's film Railway Children and the railway's steam locomotives feature in the film.
