The Yorkshire Dales National Park and North York Moors National Park have joined forces to put on a fantastic Dark Sky Festival with 30 events in 13 different locations. Which means its a great time to visit the area.

Side Oven Bakery, Carr House Farm, Foston on the Wolds, YO258BS Sunday 31st January 10am - 3pm Free entry for all Come and join us for guided Wildlife Walks round our Organic farm with the Yorkshire Wildlife Trust.There will be two guided wildlife walks through the day: 10.30am and at 1.30pm. The walk takes approximately 1 to 1 ½ hours (dependent on what wildlife there is and how many are on the walk) and is between 1.5 to 2 miles. The ground conditions will be wet under foot and most of it is on grassed margins (ie not on stoned/tarmacked tracks), so good outdoor footwear/wellies will be needed. There is a much shorter walk on a stoned track which can be done without a ‘guide’ on the day as well. Bakery Open The Bakery will be open all day with our usual display of freshly baked produce, speciality breads, croissant and lots of hot refreshments and drinks. A great way to blow any cobwebs away post Christmas! Well behaved dogs on leads welcome. Plenty of parking & disabled access.
