Guide to Accommodation Types
Guest House or Guest Accommodation - The Camberley, The Lodge and Camberley Cottages, all fall into this category. This is the halfway point between a small hotel and a Bed and Breakfast. The establishment is usually larger and employs a greater range of staff. Although some Guest Houses provide evening meals and have a licence, our business does not. The main reason for not offering evening meals is the abundance of excellent restaurants and places to eat in Harrogate. There are 40 eating establishments within a five-minute walk from our location, and, similarly, there is a wide choice of bars too. We do, however, provide glasses and ice, should you wish to bring your own alcohol.
Parking arrangements
We have 16 parking spaces serving 28 rooms which means we can almost always fit all guests cars into the car park. In the unlikely event that a guest cannot find a parking space in our car park, we can offer an all-day parking permit. If you are staying in Harrogate after check-out time, you can often leave your car with us. Alternatively, we can issue more permits. Most satellite navigation systems take you straight into our car park. There is a £10 per stay parking charge.
Are your rooms ensuite?
Yes, all our bedrooms have en-suite facilities
Can young children stay at the Guest House and Cottages?
We are sorry but we cannot accept children in any of our accommodation. We are an adults-only establishment.
How far are you from?
The A1 - about 10 miles
The Royal Hall Theatre - 5 minutes walk
The Harrogate Theatre - 8 minutes walk
The Harrogate International Centre - 8 meters
The train station - 8 minutes walk
The bus station - 8 minutes walk
Harrogate Show Ground - 10 minutes in the car. There is unlimited free parking on the showground for most shows. For the larger shows, including the Annual Spring and Autumn Flower Shows, and the Great Yorkshire Show, a free shuttle bus runs regularly between Harrogate town centre and the Showground.

We accept Visa, Mastercard and Amex, both credit and debit versions. Additionally, we accept Switch and BACS.
What time do we have to be back in at night?
Every guest is issued with keys to their room, as well as both the front door and back door. You can come and go at any time. However, please be aware that other guests may be sleeping and be courteous and quiet in the corridors and communal areas.
What time is check-in?
Check-in is from 2 pm - 9 pm. We ask guests arriving after 9 pm to call us to organise their check-in. Early check-in can be arranged. Just ask.
What time is check out time?
11am is the normal check out time. However, late check-outs may be arranged if required at the management's discretion.
Do you allow smoking?
The Guest Houses and Cottages are strictly No Smoking. This includes vaping. We have a smoking area beyond the back porch. A cigarette butt bin is provided in order to keep the external areas tidy.
Do you allow Pets?
Sorry, but pets are not allowed in any of our accommodation.
We don't have a car is this a problem?
No, this is not a problem. It is very easy to get around Harrogate without a car. The main areas of Harrogate are within walking distance, including events venues, shops and restaurants. We are a short walk from both the bus and train stations (these are situated next to each other in the centre of town).
For our International Guests, we are only a short walk from the drop-off at Leeds-Bradford Airport, allowing you to either walk or get a taxi, depending on the amount of luggage you have.
How far away from the Harrogate International Centre are you?
We are directly across the road from the Harrogate International Centre.
What is included in the room?
We provide a hairdryer, ironing board and iron, tea tray and kettle (tea & coffee provided) and a fan in all rooms. Some rooms do have a mini-fridge. If you require a fridge to store medication, please let us know when booking.
Please be aware, if you need to alter the dates of your stay, this will attract a £20 admin fee and any changes are subject to availability of rooms on the date in question.
