10th of January sees the return of the Sitting room Comedy Club to The Empress on the Stray. (For the non locals that about a 20 minute walk from us).
Resident MC Tom Taylor (John Bishop tour support) presents Josh Jones (Alan Davies: As Yet Untitled), Mad Ron (Leicester Comedy Festival Best Show nominee) and Andrew Bird (Michael McIntyre tour support). Tom is a local lad who inspired by his own love of comedy and obvious talent has brought some of the top comedy acts to Harrogate and York. Doors will open at 7:30pm (the Empress is open for food and drink from 11:00am) before the show starts at 8:00pm. The show will end at approximately 10:15pm. These shows sell out fast so don't delay buying your tickets. The Empress also has lovely outsdoor seating if you are comming for events later in the year and well as a good selection of food and drink. It is just right for curling up in front of the fire and is avaliable in Paperback, Kindle and Audio formats. The mystery starts with the cast being invited to the launch of the Maybridge Castle Hotel (see the Hospitality Tie in?) as the first Haunted/ Spiratulist hotel. There is a good mixed cast of characters, good twists in the plot and various red herrings. Perfect for fans of Agatha Christie and the cosy murder Genre. Plus I do have a soft spot for a cat as a main character. |
