Harrogate is a haven for culture enthusiasts with three fantastic entertainment venues. The Camberley and Camberley Cottages are centrally located, opposite the Conference Centre and just a five-minute walk from the Royal Hall, with Harrogate Theatre only a ten-minute walk away.  We provide the perfect base for exploring the area and attending the myriad of concerts and events that draw visitors to the town.
Harrogate Theatre, pairs Victorian architecture with an intimate ambiance. Established in 1900, it has a rich history and stages performances that range from timeless classics, drama, comedy, and musicals, ensuring there's a show to suit every taste.
Highlights of the upcoming season at the theatre include Alan Ayckbourn’s Table Manners, which runs from 17 – 21 September.  This comedic masterpiece set in rural England, unfolds around a dining table. The play delves into the dysfunctional dynamics of a family gathering, exploring themes of love, jealousy, and human foibles with the sharp wit and biting humour typical of Ayckbourn's work.
For those who prefer musical theatre, Grease runs from 23 – 26 October 2024 whilst Dire Straits fans are sure to love Dire Streets, a tribute band playing at the theatre on 30 October 2024.
The Royal Hall is one of Harrogate’s most stunning architectural gems.  Built in the 19th Century, it exudes grandeur and elegance.  It is renowned for its exquisite design and exceptional acoustics, making it a prestigious venue for concerts, orchestras, and events. Visitors are transported to a bygone era of opulence and sophistication.  From the ornate ceilings to the plush seating, this Victorian gem truly is a luxurious and unmissable experience.
Jive Talking – a Tribute to the BeeGees will take place on 22 September before Otam Ottolenghi brings his Comfort Tour to the venue on 23 September.  This renowned chef, restaurateur, and author is celebrated for his innovative approach to Middle Eastern and Mediterranean cuisine and his focus on fresh, vibrant ingredients and bold flavours.
On 5 October, the Royal Hall will be filled with temptation.  The music of The Temptations to be precise, as Just My Imagination takes to the stage.  For those who prefer something a little more intellectual, Jon Ronson’s Psychopath Night is taking place on 26 October and will discuss the perplexing concept of normalcy.
The Harrogate Convention Centre, just opposite The Camberley, has hosted rock stars, politicians, businesses, trade shows, and special interest events, ranging from ComicCon to The Knitting and Stitching Show.
On 19 September, the Convention Centre will host an evening with UK astronaut Tim Peake that is sure to be both informative and entertaining. Beverley Knight will bring her distinctive soul sound to Harrogate on 20 September, and Prog Rock fans will be delighted to hear that The Australian Pink Floyd Show will be at the Convention Centre on 1 November.
Fans of Jimmy Carr won’t want to miss his “Jimmy Carr Laughs Funny” show on 21 September, whilst film buffs will enjoy the 2024 Banff Blue Film programme on 15 October.

For Comedy fans, October is the best time to visit Harrogate as the 13th Harrogate Comedy Festival is taking place from 2 – 29 October.  Attracting a huge range of comedy talent, with performances across all three Harrogate Venues, you don’t want to miss this.  Highlights include Harrogate’s own, Maisie Adam on 5 and 7 October and Andy Parsons on 2 October, both at Harrogate Theatre.  Al Murray, The Pub Landlord, will be at the Royal Hall on 19 October whilst Lucy Beaumont takes to the same stage on 24 October.  You can check out all the talent and book your tickets here:  https://visitharrogate.co.uk/events/harrogate-comedy-festival
Harrogate is also the ideal place to stay if you are looking to attend an event at the First Direct Arena in Leeds.  There are frequent buses and trains into Leeds and the stations are just a ten minute walk away from The Cottages and Bed and Breakfast.  If you are travelling by car, the journey is around 30 – 40 minutes depending on traffic, and there is a multi-storey car park opposite the venue, which is safe and secure.  If you arrive at 6pm or later, there is a special Event parking rate available.
Musical highlights at the arena include Niall Horan, a former member of One Direction, whose blend of pop, folk, and rock resonates with fans of all ages. Niall’s show is on 28 August.
On 6 September, acclaimed band Texas will take to the stage with special guest KT Tunstall. With their distinctive sound and Spiteri's powerful vocals, Texas delivers electrifying performances that showcase their enduring talent and musical legacy.
On 16 October, Becky Hill will bring her soulful vocals and infectious beats to Leeds.  Since appearing on The Voice UK, Becky has dominated the charts with hit singles and collaborations with renowned artists.
And for those who like their music heavier, the ultimate shock rocker, Alice Cooper, will be playing at the arena on 18 October.  Prepare for a blood-spattered stage show and the potential appearance of a Boa Constrictor.

The Cottages and Bed and Breakfast make an ideal base whatever your entertainment preferences.  Just a short walk takes you into the town centre where you will find the Theatre in the main shopping area together with a wide range of restaurants.  Well-known chains such as The Ivy and Cosy Club sit alongside independent establishments, providing access to most types of cuisine for your pre-event meal.  The Conference Centre is literally opposite the Bed and Breakfast whilst the stunning Royal Hall is just a five-minute walk away.  If you don’t wish to go up into the town centre, there are some great eating establishments available on Kings Road itself, including Stuzzi, serving delicious Italian cuisine, less than a minute's walk away.
Whether you choose the excitement of a rock concert, the side-splitting humour of the Comedy Festival, or the intellectual stimulation of an evening with an Astronaut, the Camberley and The Camberley Cottages provide the perfect location to unwind, and discuss the highlights of your evening.
