Our scene is a remote house on Dartmoor in the winter – this is a cold and remote location which is often cut of from the outside by deep snow in the depths of winter. Our cast is introduced to us at the house being rented by Mrs Willett and her daughter who having travelled from South Africa set upon this remote place to spend their holidays. Our cast have been invited to the Willetts for a séance in which the planchette spells out Murder and the name of Trevelyan – this disturbs the group so much his best friend Majour John Burnaby decides to trek over to check his well being – only to find him dead.
Now there are various motives and various alibies but with the snow so deep who could have gotten through? So the team of Emily Trefusis the fiancé of James Pearson the Captain’s nephew (and possible heir) and keen new hound Charles Enderby take on the case.
