Check out some of the great events that are taking place from October to December this autumn. Throughout October, Harrogate will be hosting its annual Comedy Festival featuring a wide range of well-known acts, including Henning Wehn, Maisie Adam, Suzi Ruffell and Nigel Planer, to name just a few. You will be spoiled for choice in terms of music this autumn including The Bootleg Beatles at the Royal Hall on 5 October, Showaddywaddy on 18 October at the same venue, and Rave On – the Ultimate 50’s and 50’s Experience on 30 October at the stunning Harrogate Theatre which is celebrating its 125th year in 2025. For fans of the Philli sound, The Stylistics will be playing at Harrogate Convention Centre, on 28 November – the venue is literally opposite The Camberley and The Lodge, so it’s the perfect place to stay for this event. Then on 11 December the UK Pink Floyd Experience will be at the Royal Hall. Always a very popular show and one that sells out quickly so don’t delay getting your tickets if you are keen to go. If you are a fan of classical entertainment, we have a treat for you, with the Imperial Classical Ballet performing The Nutcracker at the Royal Hall (just a short walk from The Camberley, The Lodge and Camberley Cottages) on 13 November. Then, on 4 December, you can listen to violinist, Nicola Benedetti, in concert at the same venue. For those who love Shakespeare, we have King Lear, Retold at Harrogate Theatre on 16 October. Fans of Strictly won’t want to miss Anton Du Beke and Friends at the Royal Hall on 1 December. For fans of comedy, don’t miss the hilarious Ross Noble who will be bringing his Cranium of Curiosities tour to Harrogate Royal Hall on 8 November. For those who love a good book, you won’t want to miss the Raworths Harrogate Literature Festival at The Crown Hotel from 9 – 19 October. This is a fabulous festival and you can plan your visit, and book your tickets here. Autumn also sees a number of larger events in the Harrogate Calendar with the Northern Homebuilding and Renovating Show taking place October 31st - November 2nd, and the Knitting and Stitching Show taking place 20 – 23 November. Both are at the Harrogate Convention Centre just opposite The Camberley, The Lodge and Camberley Cottages. Harrogate also has a Christmas Fayre which is always very popular with visitors and takes place throughout the town centre from 5 – 14 December with fairground rides and the popular CandyCane Express Road Train as well as lots of shopping opportunities at the fayre and the independent businesses in the town. A great opportunity to pick up some unusual gifts for those difficult to buy for recipients. If you are visiting harrogate for the Christmas Market, don’t miss the evening spectacular that is the RHS Harlow Carr Glow events. They run on selected dates between 19 November and 23 December 2025 and allow you to immerse yourself in a kaleidoscope of colour as thousands of glittering lights fill the garden with seasonal cheer. This truly magical event is very popular with local residents, so book your tickets nice and early to avoid disappointment. Whilst you are here, don’t miss Betty’s pop-up café in the gardens, serving delicious hot chocolate, tea, coffee, and, of course, a range of scrumptious Betty’s cakes and treats.
