Harrogate is very proud that an event on our Cold Bath Road area has been selected to be featured in the 100 day Tour De France Festival in a celebration of the arts and culture as well as cycling - this is a new concept for The Tour for 2014.
Performances of The Cold Bath Road Mystery will take the form of a guided walk at set times over the weekends of 7-8 June, 14-15 June and the 5-6 July. Based on an Edwardian detective story, the mystery will unfold with the help of puppets, storytelling and a visual trail leading up Cold Bath Road, one of Harrogate’s most attractive streets, to the source of the original cold spring. Additional clues to help unravel the mystery will be found in some of the shops along the trail. Prior to this, Chrysalis Arts is inviting the local community to get involved by helping to create Edwardian-themed street decorations in hands-on workshops led by artists (if you want to be involved in the making of the decorations see our previous article on the dates for the workshops). .It is a story is set in 1907 and there will be items and artistic installations all along Cold Bath road to evoke the period as well as provide information and clues to the Murder Mystery.
